Children’s Groups

Nursery

Children ages 5 and under are welcome in our Nursery, where they are cared for by our trained staff and volunteers. There, they can enjoy fun, safe, and age-appropriate opportunities for play and engagement. As parents, we know how meaningful it is to be able to focus on the Sunday message without worrying about the well-being of your children. Our staff will contact you during the service if the need arises via our pager system. Our nursery guests may be dropped off at the nursery room before the start of the service and picked up at the end.

F3: Faith, Fun, Focus

F3: Faith, Fun, Focus is our Sunday morning class for children and youth ages 5 and up. Children are invited to attend during either of our worship services. They meet in our Fireside Room, which is adjacent to the sanctuary. There, they get to interact through fun activities that relate to the weekly scripture message. Their faith formation is important to us, and we strive to provide relevant and authentic lessons to our children and youth. They are also always welcome to remain with us in the sanctuary for the duration of the service. We have drawing pads and fidget toys available at any time—see an Usher for help finding those.

VBX: Vacation Bible Experience

VBX is our annual summer day camp program for kids. It is a free, week-long program where children get to have fun and learn about Jesus! Check back after the new year for this summer’s dates.

Health and Safety

We do ask that you provide us with some basic info while your children are under our care or participating in one of our classes. If you wish, you can complete our children’s registration form online or fill out a paper form on your first visit.

Safe Sanctuary

We want Puyallup UMC to be a safe space for everyone, and this especially includes children and vulnerable persons. Each of our volunteers has passed a thorough background check, and all of our staff have taken specialized abuse prevention safety training as part of our commitment to meeting all Safe Sanctuary policies.
